Our Story
Daniel and Emma met in the Summer of 2015 at the University of Missouri. It was a random chance that they would stumble upon one another. Emma was in town visiting her high school friend, and Daniel was a student at Mizzou. Her friend was talking to a guy on Daniel's swim team, so they decided to go over and hang out as a group. From Daniel's perspective, he was already in his pajamas, in bed, and ready to fall asleep when he got a text message telling him he had to come up the road and meet this cute blonde.
Reluctantly, he got dressed and headed up the road to see what she was all about. First impressions are everything, and Emma's first impression of Daniel was "he is very good looking, he's tall, athletic, has long hair", all plusses - minus the fact that he was wearing homemade jorts (jean shorts) paired with a Houston Astros t-shirt. They chatted and laughed, and Emma trying to be the funny lady she is decided to say "Houston - we have a problem...what are those jorts???" Daniel's first thought was she is not very nice, but the story must go on. They parted ways, and happened upon each other the next night out at a local college bar called Fieldhouse. They talked some more, but nothing more than friendly conversation.
It wasn't until months later when Daniel had a swim meet in Knoxville, Tennessee that Emma decided to make her move. She decided to go see him swim and made the trip down. From there the romance continued, and it has since endured long distance, cross-country moves, fur babies, and a new baby boy on the way. They have spent the last 8 years together, with a lifetime to come, and they are so excited to celebrate their union with all of you.
